Handmade Nation hits the Roc

I’ve been waiting for the day that I get to share this exciting news with ya’ll and time keeps slipping away from me. So, here’s the news:

Handmade Nation is coming to Rochester! My dear friend Shanna and I have been working on this one for a few months and it’s finally set: Made By Rachel and the very talented ladies from Second Storie will be presenting two screenings of Faythe Levin’s film Handmade Nation this fall right here in Rochester! Woohoo! It’s pretty difficult to be a part of the on-line DIY indie craft world and not know about Handmade Nation, but incase you’re a bit outta the loop, you can learn more about this interesting film that explores the rise of DIY indie craft/art/design movements across the U.S. here.
We’re doing two showings of the film, just because it’s going to be that fabulous. The first showing will be Friday, November 27th, kicking off Second Storie’s annual indie market. This showing will include a panel discussion which you can read more about here. The second showing will be Saturday, December 6th, just incase you’re out of town over Thanksgiving weekend and/or you decide you need to see it twice. Which, of course, you will.

Tickets are only $5, so swing this way and pick up a few!
