tired and unfocused

I don’t even have the energy today to write about anything creative. We both slept poorly last night and were up at 5:30 to get to the hospital for Christian’s kidney stone surgery. Poor guy–too young to have a kidney stone, that’s for sure. I managed a short nap this afternoon and I’m attempting to [...]

I heart Etsy Fridays

Joodito makes garments constructed with salvaged and recycled materials. Currently, she only has two fabulous tops for sale in her etsy shop, but I’m hoping she’s going to give us more. I love the color pallatte of these pieces and their unique structure. What makes Joodito so interesting to me is that she creates her [...]

decisions decisions

I know that most designers don’t reveal anything about their collections until they are completed and in the stores, but I just don’t operate that way. I hate peeps, but I immediately sent the link to my sister, who loves peeps, especially after they have been sitting on the counter for a few days [...]

fabric distraction

Thanks to everyone who emailed me over the last two weeks to cheer me up during my illnesses. I thought it would never end! I’ve been feeling more myself since Tuesday afternoon and finally managed to make it to the gym and have my first full cup of coffee in two weeks. I think all [...]

still ill

It’s another sunny Monday and once again, I’m sick in bed. I’m doing my best to keep a positive attitude about being so house-bound for the last two weeks, but it’s becoming more difficult. Last night, I came down with a horrible stomach bug; the kind that required bathroom trips every 20 minutes and leaves [...]
