progress
I’ve been knitting the Thumb Thermal from the Fall 2007 collection of Modalura patterns. The ribbing on the sleeves takes forever, but it could be that I just don’t have a lot of time to knit right now.
I did manage to finish the front last week though, so I might get to wear it [...]

October Jacket
This is definitely the coziest thing I’ve ever made myself: October Jacket, a Modalura pattern I designed for our Fall 2007 pattern collection. I love this pattern because it’s so fun to watch the stitch pattern form as you work the front and back. I made a few alterations to the pattern so I’d have [...]

sisters…sisters…
I’m watching White Christmas, what can I say. Since I took the Handmade Pledge this year, I have lots of handmade pictures to post. I actually managed to make a few things during the end of my busy semester, and what I couldn’t make, I bought off Etsy and from very talented friends.

Sensual Knits
Last fall, Lucinda and I submitted a design for publication in the book Sensual Knits, by Yahaira Ferreira, and it was accepted in Februrary of last year. The book was slated for release after the holidays, but lucky us, it came out a month in advance. Needing to see it for myself, I grabbed [...]

I heart fall.
Today is a perfect fall day. So, I’m not gonna waste it by writing anything here.
Here’s where I’m at with the October Jacket, which currently looks like a vest. I can’t wait to wear it–it’s SO heavy.

procrastination
I knew this would happen. I knew that at some point mid-semester my academic life would take over my creative life and my little blog would fall by the wayside. It’s not that I don’t think about posting. Actually, truth-be-told, I haven’t thought about it in five days and tonight it occurred to me while [...]

moda=lu+ra
I’m breathing a big sigh of relief because last week, we finally shipped out all of our (current) orders for the Modalura Fall 2007 collection of knitting patterns. I can’t wait to finally knit myself one of the patterns to wear, since all of our pieces are currently making their way around the states for [...]

I heart Columbus
I have nothing against Ohio—just a lot of stereotypes that would probably fit a number of Americans. I’ve often joked with my friends that we should start a mass movement into Ohio to ensure that the state swings blue in the next election, but so far, none of us have offered to make the first [...]
